Salvation = Eternal Security

Salvation=Eternal Security

Eternal Security=Salvation

One heresy that is taught from so many pulpits and believed by so many claiming to be Christians is that a Saved Christian can lose his/her salvation. Your salvation is eternally secure, through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ. Eternal security is just that, it’s eternal, you can’t return to your mother’s womb, and neither can a believer go back into an unregenerated spiritual state.(John 3:1-7)

Most will argue that King David lost his Salvation, but let’s take a look at the Bible and see what it has to say. Psalms 51:12 – Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. King David lost the joy of salvation, not his Salvation.

The Bible is perfectly clear on the subject of Eternal Security, Everlasting Life, and/or “once saved, always saved”.Once a sinner is born again, they are eternally secure. Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

 We can absolutely for sure know that we are saved and have eternal security.1 John 5:13 – These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Now what is needed to have eternal security? That ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Nothing can take eternal security from you, you can’t slip back into sin and lose your salvation. No one can take your salvation from you or cause you to lose it. (Joh 10:27-30) When you are saved God seals you, He will not let you go no matter what you do.

Eternal life doesn’t mean I borrowed it for a week or two. If it’s eternal then in one week from now it’s still? Yes, Eternal. One month from now? Yes, Eternal. One year from now? Yes, Eternal. Eternal means forever, it has no time limit. Tragically, there are some professed “Christians” who deny this Biblical truth, claiming that a believer can lose their salvation, and fall out of a state of grace with God. This is not the biblical truth, it’s self-righteousness.

We are all sinners, we have all fallen short of the glory of God. But we have redemption in Jesus Christ, he is our propitiation through faith in his blood, Romans 3:23-25. Jesus paid for your sins brothers and sisters, he died, he was buried and he was resurrected as payment for your sins. ALL sins were paid for, past, present, and future, through Jesus Christ’s shed blood on Calvary’s Cross.

Salvation does not lie in good works, but in a man, Jesus Christ.
“NOT BY WORKS of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost” (Titus 3:5), This Bible verse makes it plain and simple that good works will not save anyone.

This beautiful message you must listen to; Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by GRACE are ye saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the Gift of GOD: NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast.”
“Knowing that a man is NOT JUSTIFIED BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and NOT BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW: for BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW SHALL NO FLESH BE JUSTIFIED” (Galatians 2:16).

Scripture, after scripture, after scripture plainly tells us that Salvation can’t be earned, it is a gift given to us through God’s Grace and not by our good deeds.
Titus 1:2- In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; this is the promise of eternal life, from God who cannot lie. If you deny Titus 1:2 you call God a liar, God cannot lie.

As Christians, we can KNOW that we are saved, because our salvation is not rooted in merit or works, but upon the finished work of Christ. Our salvation is based upon God’s love for undeserving sinners, not upon our own self-righteousness.

You CAN’T have Salvation without having Eternal Security. Once you are saved, you are always saved. I find it, as so many other righteous men do, it is a great hypocrisy for anyone to claim to be wholly trusting the Savior Jesus Christ for salvation, while at the same time proclaiming the self-righteous idea that we can lose our Salvation if we backslide and fall back into sin. If the latter be true, then our salvation is dependent upon man, as much as it is upon God. Jonah 2:9  But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.
